Service & Customization FAQs

Do you service Can-Am or Sea-Doo units purchased from other dealerships?

Yes. You do not need to have purchased your unit from Texas Adventure Powersports to receive service here. We regularly service Can-Am and Sea-Doo units purchased from other dealerships, private sellers, or customers who have relocated to North Texas. Our focus is long-term ownership support and factory-aligned service standards.

Are your technicians factory trained for BRP products?

Yes. Our technicians are trained to work specifically on BRP brands including Can-Am ATVs, side-by-sides, Spyder, Ryker, and Sea-Doo personal watercraft. We follow manufacturer-recommended service procedures and use genuine parts where applicable to ensure performance, reliability, and warranty compliance.

Do customers travel from outside Richardson for service?

They do. While we are located in Richardson, we regularly serve riders from across Dallas–Fort Worth and throughout North Texas. Many customers travel 50–100+ miles for brand-specific diagnostics, BRP expertise, and a premium service experience.

Do you install lift kits and suspension upgrades on Can-Am units?

Yes. We install lift kits, suspension upgrades, and performance-oriented components for Can-Am ATVs and side-by-sides. Proper installation involves more than bolting on parts — geometry, driveline angles, steering calibration, and long-term reliability all matter. Our team evaluates compatibility and application before installation to ensure safe and functional upgrades.

Can you re-gear a side-by-side after installing oversized tires?

Yes. Oversized tire packages often require re-gearing or clutch adjustments to maintain performance and drivability. We assess gearing ratios and usage type to help protect engine longevity and restore optimal power delivery after wheel and tire upgrades.

Do you install custom lighting and audio systems?

We do. We install lighting systems, sound systems, and accessory integrations for customers seeking both functional and aesthetic upgrades. Whether the goal is improved trail visibility, work-site lighting, or a fully integrated audio system, installations are performed with proper wiring practices and system compatibility in mind.

Do you offer full build consultations for performance or show units?

Yes. We consult with customers building out utility, recreational, or show-focused units. This may include suspension upgrades, wheel and tire packages, accessory integration, performance enhancements, and visual customization. Our approach balances performance, durability, and long-term serviceability.

Do you perform warranty and recall work?

Yes. We perform eligible warranty and recall service in alignment with manufacturer guidelines. Our team ensures proper documentation and compliance with BRP standards.

  • Proper chain tension is vital to drive-component longevity and peak performance. A chain adjustment ensures your chain is not too tight, which puts strain on your wheel and drive shaft, or not too loose, causing unneeded wear to your sprocket and gear.

  • Your chain and sprockets are constantly exposed to extreme conditions. Due to wear and tear, all chains and sprockets need to be replaced eventually. It's always a good idea to replace your chains and sprockets at the same time. You’ll notice a difference in the way your vehicle runs, shifts, and sounds.

  • When your vehicle breaks down, we'll be there for you with emergency vehicle pick-up anywhere within our service area. Call us; we’ll come out and help you.

  • A full engine rebuild enhances your machine’s performance. We disassemble the engine down to the bare block and rebuild it with all new components. A full rebuild includes new parts, such as gaskets, oil pumps, timing chains, gears, and belts. You’ll get remachined valves, valve seats, and crankshafts, as well as a new air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, water pump, and all the power of a rebuilt engine.

  • Purge contaminated fluid with a hydraulic system flush. Regular system maintenance removes contaminants and deposits and helps extend your vehicle's life.

  • Protect your investment and keep your vehicle running smoothly with regular oil changes as specified by your manufacturer. Oil lubricates, cools, and cleans your engine. An oil and filter change is an easy, affordable way to maintain your vehicle and keep it on the road and running longer.

  • Improve the overall operation and performance of your machine for the upcoming season. Pre-season inspection includes a fuel system, engine, oil, exhaust, and battery check. Your vehicle will leave in peak performance operation with a clean air filter and everything it needs for the season.

  • Promote long engine life with a cooling system flush and fill. Even in moderate climate conditions, heat and cold are hard on your engine. Clean fluid ensures that your radiator operates at optimal efficiency. It keeps your engine block at normal operating temperatures, and it lubricates expensive engine seals. Flushing the radiator prevents corrosion and costly repairs.

  • If your machine is performing poorly, starts hard, backfires, or has a noisy valve train, it may be time for a valve adjustment. The valves are timed to the piston movement via the timing chain and other components. If your valves are out of adjustment, the motor’s intake stroke, power stroke, or exhaust stroke may stop working correctly.
